About
Builds AutoHotkey v2 scripts from forms. Pick a shortcut (or press it to capture it), choose a
function, fill in its parameters with required and optional ones marked, read the docs help inline,
and copy or save the generated .ahk. Everything runs in this tab. There is no network call and no analytics.
Where the reference comes from
Parameter lists, required and optional flags, help text, remarks and examples are parsed from the official
AutoHotkey v2 documentation source (AutoHotkey/AutoHotkeyDocs on GitHub) by
tools/build_data.py
and embedded in this page. The documentation is licensed under the GNU GPL v2, so the embedded reference text is
too. Help text is condensed: long sections are cut, so use the official page link for the full text.
This first build covers hotkeys, hotstrings, directives and the most-used functions. It does not yet cover
GUI controls, built-in variables, objects or classes.
Limits worth knowing
The generator writes function-call syntax, for example
MsgBox("Hi"), which is valid for every
function. Empty optional parameters are left out, and a blank value cannot be sent as an empty string, so
use the Expr mode and type "" for that. The output is not run or syntax-checked here, so test it
in AutoHotkey before you rely on it.
Appearance
design, mode, accent
Three controls in the top bar, saved between visits. Design sets the shape language and backdrop, mode sets
the lightness, and the accent can be any hue. They combine freely, and the accent is re-lit per mode so it
never drops below a readable contrast.
